ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Ranch-O-Min Hoof Support Mineral CTC3734 is designed to be fed to cattle during those times of the year when footrot persists among the cattle herd.  This mineral should be fed to cattle at the rate of 3 oz per head per day to provide 350 mg of Aureomycin (CTC), 3 grams of Availa-Zinc, and 49 mg of Iodine.  For additional immune support and tissue repair, the vitamin content has been elevated (particularly Vitamins A & E) and 100% of the selenium is sourced from Alltech’s Sel-Plex (organic selenium yeast).  Additionally, because getting cattle to consume mineral on lush pasture can be difficult, we have lowered the salt content and added molasses and licorice (anise) flavoring to entice consumption.

HOW TO FEED

Offer this mineral at the rate of 3 ounces per head per day to provide 350 mg of Chlortetracycline and 49 mg of Iodine.  Average consumption should not exceed 3 oz/head/day so that intake of iodine does not exceed the legal maximum of 49 mg.  Number and placement of mineral feeders can control consumption.  If consumption is low, increase number of mineral feeders and place them near water and prime feeding areas.  If consumption is high, decrease number of mineral feeders and move them away from the prime feeding areas.

For the control of bacterial pneumonia associated with shipping fever complex caused by Pasteurella spp susceptible to Chlortetracycline. 

WARNING:  A WITHDRAWAL PERIOD HAS NOT BEEN ESTABLISHED FOR THIS PRODUCT IN PRE-RUMINATING CALVES.  DO NOT USE IN CALVES TO BE PROCESSED FOR VEAL.
