RANCH-O-LYX 20 AN BEEF COW TUB W/AVAILA
Ranch-O-Lyx 20% AN Beef Cow Tub w/Availa is a cooked, low-moisture, molasses-based protein, vitamin, and mineral supplement tub. The protein and energy sources of this product are derived from molasses, corn syrup, dried distiller’s grains with solubles (DDGS), corn gluten meal and soy oil. Ranch-O-Lyx 20% AN Beef Cow Tub w/Availa is a supplement designed for self-feeding situations where cattle and horses are grazed in common pastures. This tub is formulated to deliver all of the supplemental nutrition a cow or horse needs is in one “package,” therefore no additional mineral supplementation is required (see feeding instructions below). As a rule of thumb, for every 1 lb of Ranch-O-Lyx 20% AN Beef Cow Tub w/Availa offered, ~3 oz of Ranch-Way’s Ranch-O-Min vitamins and minerals is provided.
Features and Benefits:
Ranch-O-Lyx 20 AN CU is available in a 200 lb (black) plastic tub container.
Target intake is consistent and reliable when fed in accordance with these feeding directions:
Feed continuously as a protein supplement at the rate of one container for every 15 to 20 head, with a minimum of two containers in each lot or pasture to ensure proper accessibility. Cattle and horses typically consume from 0.5 to 1.5 lbs per head per day. Make sure animals are not starved for salt or minerals prior to introducing tubs. It is critical that animals have adequate pasture or forage available to meet their energy needs (most livestock require ~1.5% of their BW per day in dry-matter intake for maintenance). If pasture and/or roughage supply is inadequate to meet the energy demands for growth, gestation, lactation, or to maintain proper body condition, then supplemental grain or roughage should be provided. Provide free-choice access to plain white salt prior to and during feeding tubs. Always provide clean, fresh water.
A two-week adaptation period may be required to establish a base consumption. If consumption is low, increase the number of tubs per pasture and place containers near loafing areas and water source. Consumption can be regulated by increasing or decreasing the number of containers available to livestock. If consumption is high, decrease the number of tubs per pasture and spread containers out over a wider area. Consumption will depend on the size and age of animals fed, and will vary with the type and quality of forage available; if livestock have access to an adequate supply of forage they are not likely to over consume this product. Livestock maintained in a dry-lot or paddock scenario and/or that have limited access to forage will over-consume this product out of boredom or hunger; tubs are typically not the correct protein supplementation in these scenarios. Target intake is consistent and reliable when fed in accordance with these feeding directions.
For Beef Cattle and Horses Only.
