ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Defiance Lite is a pelleted feed designed as the solution for horses that require a low fat diet or need to lose weight safely. Defiance Lite is intended for horses with the "easy keeper" body type (gains weight easily and is prone to obesity), such as ponies, Miniature Horses, Draft Horses, Morgans, Arabians, and Mustangs. Defiance Lite offers a strategy for proper weight management in a highly fortified fiber-based pellet that can be fed at a low feeding rate (2-4 lbs/horse/day). Unique in the market place, this feed is not only low in fate, but it is also designed with the same philosophy as the Sound Starch feeds being low in sugars and starches (or non-structural carbohydrates; NSC).

HOW TO FEED

Maintenance (horses older than 2 years), Light work, and Pregnant Mares in the first 2 trimesters of gestation: Feed 1/2 lb per 100 lbs of bodyweight.

Medium Work, Late Lactation, and Last Trimester Mares:  Feed 1/2 to 3/4 lb per 100 lbs of bodyweight.

Intense Work and Yearlings:  Feed  1/2 to 1 lb per 100 lbs of bodyweight.

Weanlings:  Feed 1/2 lb per 100 lbs of bodyweight.

Feed Defiance Lite along with good quality hay or pasture.  Use these feeding directions as a guide.  Be sure to adjust the amount of feed as necessary to achieve the desired body condition. If more than 4 lbs/hd/day is required to maintain ideal body condition, switch to Sound Starch.

CAUTION

Store product in a clean environment free of moisture, rodents, insects, and other pests.  Do not feed moldy or repugnant feed.  This product has been formulated specifically for horses and is not intended for other species.

DO NOT FEED TO SHEEP DUE TO HIGH COPPER LEVEL.
