ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Boer Goat Gestation and Lactation Pellets are formulated specifically for Boer Goats during their last trimester of pregnancy and during their entire lactation cycle.  Lactating and gestating Boer Goat’s bodies are taxed heavily during these periods. 

These pellets are designed to provide protein, energy, mineral and vitamins to goats when fed in conjunction with hay.   Most goats are lacking adequate energy, vitamins and minerals essential for growth of developing kids during the last trimester of gestation and milk production during lactation.  Boer Goat Gestation and Lactation Pelletscan help fill the nutritional gaps not met by hay alone. 

This palatable pellet contains high levels of Vitamin E and Selenium to combat White Muscle Disease in kids.  It also contains elevated levels of Thiamin to decrease the risk of Polioencephalomalacia in adult does.   Alltech’s YeaSacc yeast culture is added to help with forage utilization and the goat’s ability to digest hay, which can lead to more productive does.

HOW TO FEED

Flushing Adult Does and Kids- Feed at the rate of 1 lb/head/day 20 days prior to introducing the bucks and 40 days after the buck is introduced to the herd. 

First and Second Trimester Adult Boer Does** - Feed as the concentrate portion of the diet at the rate of 0.25-0.5 lbs/head/day.

Third Trimester Adult Boer Does** - Feed as the concentrate portion of the diet at the rate of 0.75-1 lb/head/day depending on the condition of the does.

Lactating Boer Does** - Feed at the rate of 1-2 lbs/head/day depending on the stage of lactation and condition of the doe.

**Boer kid does should receive 10-25% more concentrate/head/day depending on age, body condition, and size at breeding and kidding.
