ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Ranch-O-Lyx 30 (4% NPN) with Copper is a cooked, low-moisture, molasses-based supplementtub with 30% Crude Protein with 4% non-protein nitrogen (NPN). The protein and energy sources of this product are derived from molasses, corn syrup, dried distiller’s grains with solubles (DDGS), corn gluten meal and soy oil. Ranch-O-Lyx 30 (4% NPN) with Copper is a supplement designed for self-feeding situations where cattleare maintained onpastureor corn stalks.

The rumen-soluble protein fraction of this formula (in the form of NPN) is split between urea and biuret. Biuret is technology that provides the rumen microbes with a slow release of nitrogen needed for microbial protein synthesis. This provides a “safety” feature by decreasing the risk of ammonia toxicity when soluble carbohydrates are sparse.

HOW TO FEED

Place containers in dry spots near loafing areas and water locations. Feed at the rate of one container for every 15 to 20 head, with a minimum of two containers in each lot or pasture to ensure proper accessibility. Free-choice consumption will depend on the size of animals fed, as well as the quality, source, and availability of other feeds. Cattle typically consume from 0.5 to 1.5 lbs per head per day. Consumption can be regulated by increasing or decreasing the number of containers available to livestock. Consumption will vary with the type and quality of forage available. Feed in accordance with the feeding directions on the label.

CAUTION

Do not feed to sheep due to high level of copper.

Do not feed to horses due to NPN.
