Sweetlix®Rumensin Pressed Blocks offer greater gains at a predictable cost, which equals more profit.  The Sweetlix®Rumensin Pressed Block offers your cattle the basic supplemental nutrition and greater gains on the same feed, especially during the fall and winter when cattle are grazing winter pasture, wheat pasture, and corn stalks.

To be fed free choice at the rate of 3.2 to 8 oz of block per head daily.  This will provide 80 to 200 mg Monensin per head per day.  Provide at least 1 block for each 5 head of cattle and add 1 additional block when each block has been half-consumed.  Place blocks where cattle congregate (watering, grazing, and loafing areas) in order to limit the distance an animal must travel to have ready access to a block.  Do not feed free choice sources of salt or mineral containing salt in any form.  These blocks are an adequate source of salt.  The effectiveness of this block in cull cows and bulls has not been established.

Monensin……………………………….…800 g/ton

(400 mg/lb)

Do not allow equines access to Monensin.  (Ingestion of Monensin by equines has been fatal.)  Monensin Medicated Cattle Feed is sold for use in cattle only. Consumption by unapproved species may result in toxic reactions.  Do not exceed the levels of Monensin recommended in the feeding directions, as reduced average daily gains may result.  Do not feed to lactating dairy cows.  Consumption of selenium should not exceed 3 mg per head per day.
