ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Rumensin M1200 Supplement is a carrier product formulated with the drug Rumensin (Monensin).  Rumensin M1200 Supplement pellets can be fed to cattle and goats.

HOW TO FEED

Cattle (confined):  For improved feed efficiency.  Feed 5—30 g/ton of finished feed to provide 50—360 mg of Monensin/head/day.  Feed continuously.

Cattle (pasturedslaughter, stocker and feeder cattle,and dairy and beef replacement heifers):  For increased rate of weight gain.  Feed 25—400 g/ton to provide not less than 50 nor more than 200 mgof Monensin/day in not less than 1 lb of feed,or after the fifth day,feed at the rate of 400 mg/head/day every other day in not less than 2 lbs of feed.  During the first 5days of feeding, cattle should receive no more than 100 mg per dayin not less than 1 lb of feed.  Do not self-feed.

Cattle (mature reproducing beef cows on pasture or in dry lots):  For improved feed efficiency.  Feed can be restricted to 95% of normal requirements when 50 mg of Monensin is fed, and to 90% of normal when 200 mg is fed.  Feed 50—200 mg/head/day into a minimum of 1 lb of feed and either hand feed or mix into the total ration.  During the first 5days, cattle should receive no more than 100 mg in not less than1 lb of feed.  Do not self-feed.

Goats: For the prevention of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria crandallis, E. christenseni, and E.ninakokhlyakimovae.  Feed 20 g/ton of complete feed.  Feed continuously as the sole ration.  Do not feed to lactating dairy goats.

CAUTION

Do not allow horses or other equines access to formulations containing Monensin.  Ingestion of Monensin by equines has been fatal.  Monensin medicated cattle feed is safe for use in cattle only.  Consumption by unapproved species may result in toxic reactions.  Do not feed to lactating dairy cows or lactating dairy goats.  Do not exceed the levels of Monensin recommended in the feeding directions, as reduced average daily gains may result.  Feeding undiluted or mixing errors resulting in high levels of Monensin could be fatal.  Mix thoroughly in feed.  Do not feed undiluted.

Store product in a clean environment free of moisture, rodents, insects, and other pests.  Do not feed moldy or repugnant feed.
