ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Ranch-O-Min Spring Hi Mag 14-4 is designed for cattle maintained on lush, green, spring grass or small-grain (wheat, barley, and oat) pastures.  Provides elevated Calcium and Magnesium (10% Mg) to help prevent the incidence of grass tetany.  Cattle should receive this mineral free-choice at least 2 - 4 weeks prior to being placed on lush green pastures. This mineral has chelated minerals to meet the trace mineral requirements of beef cattle.

HOW TO FEED

Feed as the sole source of salt and minerals to grazing animals on lush spring grass pastures and small grain pastures where calcium and magnesium deficiencies may occur.  Begin feeding 2-4 weeks before animals are placed on pastures where grass tetany may be a problem.  When the high-risk tetany period is over, switch to a different Ranch-O-Min mineral that best complements the hay or pasture being fed. Feed free-choice to grazing cattle.  Cattle should consume 2-4 oz/head/day.  Number and placement of mineral feeders can control consumption.  If consumption is low, increase number of mineral feeders and place them near water and prime feeding areas.  If consumption is high, decrease number of mineral feeders and move them away from water the prime feeding areas.
