RANCH-O-MIN 12-12 CALVING MINERAL w/ BIO-MOS & CLOSTAT Loose
Ranch-O-Min 12-12 Calving Mineral w/Bio-MOS and CloSTAT is a novel mineral concept that supports the cow and calf during the calving season. There is not another mineral supplement like this on the market! This mineral is formulated with two types of all-natural microbial-based products that are added to help support calf livability.
Bio-MOS: a natural yeast-based (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) product that promotes beneficial bacteria and inhibits certain pathogenic bacteria in the gut of young calves.
CloSTAT: a natural probiotic (Bacillus subtilis) product that has targeted activity against Clostridium perfringens in the calf.
Elevated copper and zinc levels to address chronic copper and zinc deficiencies in the forage, common in the High Plains and Rocky Mountain region.
Modest selenium levels to compensate for the elevated forage selenium that may prevail on some ranches.
Zinpro’s Availa® brand of organic (“chelated”) sources of Cu and Zn bound to an amino acid complex to protect against mineral antagonism, improve mineral absorption, and support immune and reproductive function.
Intellibond® source of Cu and Zn for improved mineral status in the cowherd.
Cobalt is added to support healthy rumen microbial function and B12 production.
Elevated iodine to support hoof health.
Aggressive Vitamin A fortification to offset the deficiency of Vitamin A typical of dormant and droughts-stressed forages.
Molasses and licorice flavoring to entice consumption.
Xtra-Dry weatherizing agent added to help prevent moisture damage, clumping, and leaching.

Feed free-choice to grazing cattle. Can also be offered to horses. Cattle should consume 2-4 oz/head/day. Number and placement of mineral feeders can control consumption. If consumption is low, increase number of mineral feeders and place them near water and prime feeding areas. If consumption is high, decrease number of mineral feeders and move them away from water the prime feeding areas. It is advised that if cattle are starved for salt, they at they be offered plain-white salt 1 week prior to the introduction of free-choice mineral. In some areas, where salt is low in the water and forage, additional salt may need to be provided along with this mineral to maintain the target intake of 2-4 oz.
Store feed in a clean environment free of moisture, rodents, insects, and other pests. Do not feed moldy or repugnant feed.
