ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Ranch-O-Block 37-16 Stalk Block with Biuret s a free-choice protein supplement in 33.3 lb blocks.  This block contains a 50:50 ratio of urea and biuret (biuret, triuret, and cyanuric acid).  The slower release of the nitrogen source (ammonia, NH₃) from biuret makes it a safer source of nitrogen than urea for ruminants.  It is estimated that biuret is ~7.3 times safer than urea, making it ideal in protein supplements that contain high levels of NPN, especially in self-fed applications.

HOW TO FEED

This block is intended for cattle maintained on corn stalk fields or in situations where adequate forage and grain starch is available.  Initially, feed at the rate of 1.0 pound per head per day for the first few days, and then feed free-choice. Target intake should be 1-2 lbs/hd/day.  Consumption depends on quantity and quality of forage.  Distribute blocks over a wide area.  Do not feed when field has been damaged (due to drought or hail) and is known to be elevated in nitrates.   An adequate water supply and forage are essential, do not offer blocks when pastures or fields have been overgrazed.  It is recommended that a Ranch-O-Min Mineral be offered in addition to this supplement.

 Store product in a clean environment free of moisture, rodents, insects, and other pests.  Do not feed moldy or repugnant feed.  This product has been formulated specifically for cattle and is not intended for other species.
